The high speed press is built for mono-layer, bi-layer and triple-layer formats and compresses 3,000 cubes a minute

For the first time, packaging specialists Romaco Kilian and Theegarten-Pactec will join forces at a trade fair to show a high speed line for tableting and packing soup cubes.

According to Romaco, this technology is currently the fastest in the market specifically for this particular application.

Comprised of a Romaco Kilian KTS 1000 tablet press and a Theegarten-Pactec FPC5 wrapping machine, the line is already used successfully in the food industry to manufacture and pack soup cubes in flow wrap.

This tablet press compresses up to 3,000 cubes a minute and is designed for manufacturing mono-layer, bi-layer and triple-layer formats. It can also be used to compress core-rod tablets or tablets for later core feeding.

It is suited for both food and non-food applications in continuous 24/7 operation. Different fill shoe systems enable optimal filling of the dies.

Dedicated tooling allows highly viscous or abrasive powders, which are difficult to compress, to be processed.

The wear-free punch brake magnets for constant re-dosing and the hydraulic overpressure protection are technical highlights of the KTS 1000.

The bellows protect the tablets from contamination with lubricants during compression.

The strict separation between the compaction and service areas prevents tablet dust from entering the machine compartment during the production process.

The KTS 1000 can be installed in non-air-conditioned production environments without any problems.

The joint Romaco Kilian and Theegarten-Pactec Theegarten line will be live in action in Hall 4, Stand A21.

Interpack will be hosted in Dusseldorf, Germany, May 4–10 2017.
