The standard focuses on improvements to internal processes to meet customer needs as well as regulatory requirements

Strong quality control is an essential part of enabling success in manufacturing operations. Establishing and adhering to stringent and consistent standards is important to provide the best possible service and products to customers.

Since its inception, Schott Primoceler has recognised this fact, and has now taken a concrete step forward by achieving ISO9001 certification at its Tampere, Finland headquarters.

“We are very happy to share with our customers and stakeholders that SCHOTT Primoceler has received the 9001 certification,” commented Ville Hevonkorpi, MD of Schott Primoceler in Tampere. “This was a full team effort that was enabled by an existing prioritisation of quality in all that we do in our facility.”

Serving end-use applications that include medical implants with strict regulatory parameters and micro-optics with high-precision requirements, quality and consistency are fundamental building blocks for hermetically sealed components using Schott Primoceler’s Glass Micro Bonding technology.

The ISO9001 certification sends a clear message to both existing and prospective customers that Schott Primoceler places the highest priority on quality standards in the development and manufacture of all-glass hermetic packages, the company says.
