Shimadzu’s mercury-free TOC-1000e

Published: 27-Jan-2023

The company enters the field of on-line TOC analysers for pure water with the mercury-free TOC-1000e

The new TOC-1000e combines the world’s smallest and lightest cabinet with the industry’s biggest colour touch panel display, simplifying operations and making measurement values easy to read.

In addition, the new “Active-Path” design minimises sample residue in the flow channel, ensuring high sensitivity with a detection limit of 0.1 μg/L is maintained during long term use, making it ideal for fields requiring high-purity water, including pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, food & beverages, chemistry, and precision equipment.

General Total Organic Carbon (TOC) analysers for pure water utilise mercury lamps as the light source within the instrument. In consideration of the environment, the eTOC series will be the first analyser in the world to use an excimer lamp rather than a mercury lamp.

Shimadzu TOC analysers are well-suited to laboratories and on-line measurements of environmental and waste water

Furthermore, the highly efficient and easy to use TOC-1000e is compatible with the regulatory compliance and Pharmacopeia requirements. It is equipped with security functions, including user authentication and operational log records, supporting compatibility with CFR 21 Part 11. The LabSolutions software program provides integrated management of the measurement data together with data from laboratory TOC analysers and other analytical instruments.

TOC analysers are utilised for water quality control and environmental investigations. Shimadzu TOC analysers are well-suited to laboratories and on-line measurements of environmental and waste water, and hold the biggest share of the global market. The eTOC series is Shimadzu’s first on-line TOC analyser especially designed for pure water measurements.
