Company has relocated to new headquarters and manufacturing space in New York featuring large cleanrooms and R&D labs

Sydor Technologies has announced the acquisition of a new headquarters and manufacturing space located in New York, US. The building boasts cleanroom space and R&D labs that will allow for the company's continued growth. The company is a global provider of advanced x-ray detectors and diagnostic instrumentation for the energy, research and defence industries.

The expansion has been funded by the company's receipt of Small Business Innovation Research grants, totalling more than US$5,300,000 and Empire State Development's Excelsior Jobs Program tax incentives, worth $900,000, which will allow Sydor to create 36 new jobs in the next five years.

These grants have enabled the further commercialisation of two direct X-ray detectors required for specific scientific research done within synchrotrons and X-ray Free Electron Laser (X-FEL) facilities around the world.

Michael Pavia, president and CEO at Sydor Technologies, said: “Sydor has continued to push forward in ultra-fast imaging for complex measurements. The technology we work on is very challenging, and it requires partnerships to effectively develop and bring to market the unique solutions that solve critical measurements to enable new science."

"These partnerships include the detector research, as well as the funding required to staff and manufacture during the pre-revenue development stages. We thank the Department of Energy Small Business Innovation Research program, New York State Empire State Development and Imagine Monroe for providing a platform to achieve these goals.”
