Absolute traceability for diagnostic laboratories

Published: 1-Jul-2002

In diagnostic laboratories where absolute sample traceability is of paramount importance for regulatory compliance, the TraXis system from Micronic has shown particular utility.

Proven in major installations worldwide, the system offers a complete sample storage solution for diagnostic laboratories.

The tubes may be encrypted with up to 8.5bn different combinations of a numerical code that provide a unique identification and radically enhances sample storage traceability. To increase sample identification throughput TraXis readers can scan all 96 tubes in a tube rack without the need for any additional location or tube removal. Single tube scanners are also available for integration into any type of automated system. As samples are often reformatted into a variety of formats for diagnostic screening, Micronic also has a novel multi-piercable cap. The ClusterCap is hydrophobic and can be pierced 10 times without risk of sample evaporation or contamination.
