Agilent method

Swiss-based Agilent Technologies Europe has released an application note describing a single, easy-to-use method that combines the chromatographic requirements of 10 separate American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) methods for analysing aromatic solvents.

The new method offers a number of advantages, including:

  • it eliminates the need for numerous gas chromatographs (GCs)

  • it allows for fewer GCs, thereby freeing up valuable laboratory space

  • it allows any GC running this method to serve as a backup to cut laboratory downtime during routine maintenance.
