Sirius Analytical has been developing new methods on its GLpKa and D-PAS systems to investigate interactions between drugs and metal ions in solution.
Through collaboration with Peter Gans, creator of Hyper Quad software, the company are offering this technology as an analytical service for customers, applicable in the later stages of drug development.
Working under inert argon atmospheres using pure de-gassed reagents, the company has developed methods based on acid-base titrations in the presence of drugs and metals, producing pH-metric and UV data that can then be refined using the Hyper Quad software. Metals studied include iron (II and III) and copper.
Sirius offer this measurement within their Analytical Service Department, which always works under strict confidentiality and secrecy agreements. The service is open to companies from across the globe. It supplies a comprehensive report with results and technical information; tables, graphs and profiles; and features an option to store data internally for future use. Prices start from £200.
