Analyst goes with the flow to gain accreditation

Andrew Hodson, an analyst at Avenue Mould Solutions, has become the first person in the UK and Ireland to achieve Moldflow Silver Level Accredit-ation. A hands-on toolmaker with skills in mouldmaking engineering, he was tutored by Moldflow as part of his study for the accreditation.

Hodson joined Avenue in 1997 as a toolmaking apprentice. He also has a certificate in polymer technology and is studying for a diploma in design innovation. He is now working towards the Moldflow Centre for Professional Development's (MCPD) Gold level of certification, which 'signifies the very highest level of skill'.

Based in Sligo, Ireland, Avenue is a specialist provider of single-source solutions to medical and pharmaceutical companies and a member of the Irish Medical Devices Association.
