Arran Chemical Company, part of Almac Sciences for more than 10 years, will begin operating under the Almac Sciences brand name from 01 October 2026.
The registered company name will become Almac Sciences (Athlone) Limited and the business will operate externally as Almac Sciences.
This is a change of company name only: it remains the same legal entity, with the same company registration number, VAT registration and registered office.
The transition creates a clearer, more consistent identity for customers, while also better reflecting the Athlone, Ireland site’s position within Almac Sciences’ integrated development and manufacturing offering.
The change is a change of company name and branding only, with no change to the legal entity, and does not affect the company’s people, facilities, operational processes, service capabilities or customer programmes.
Customers can continue to expect the same longstanding scientific expertise, customer support and specialist manufacturing capabilities they have relied on for more than a decade.
The Athlone site will continue to specialise in complex chemical development, scale-up and manufacturing, supported by specialist analytical services and expertise in challenging chemistries.
