Azlon desiccator lightens the load

The Azlon vacuum desiccator from Bibby Sterilin is designed to make light work of sample drying in the lab, compared with the much heavier and breakable glass versions.

The polycarbonate unit is equipped with a strong lid that can survive a hammer blow and a wide base for added stability. It can withstand high vacuum pressures over long periods of time without shattering or imploding.

The transparent desiccator is connected to a vacuum pump by a polycarbonate stopcock with PTFE plug and the airtight seal is applied by vacuum and reinforced with a rubber O-ring .

This enables the Azlon units to hold tall containers, unlike their glass counterparts, where the airtight seal is produced by sliding the lid on to the base unit, which imposes a height restriction.
