AZO appoints IHS as new UK and Ireland agent

Ingredient Handling Solutions (IHS) has been appointed the exclusive agent in the UK and Ireland for German ingredient handling and automation company AZO, of Osterburken. The move follows the retirement of Martin Kent, managing director of the former agent Essem (Systems and Services) after more than 25 years of cooperation with AZO.

IHS has extensive experience and expertise in the automation of raw materials, ingredients and additives in granular, powder or liquid form. AZO's clientele includes companies in the food, pharmaceutical, chemical and plastics industries.

IHS sales & marketing director Alan Prentice said: 'We are very pleased with the appointment by AZO and aim to build closer relationships with our customers from project process design, through to installation and commissioning and ensuring the supply of spare parts.

'AZO has more than 50 years' experience in dry solids and liquids handling, and its extensive test facility enables it to provide solutions for the most complex material handling requirements.'
