Published: 21-Oct-2001

BASF has expanded its hydroxylamine plant in Ludwigshafen, Germany, by a further 1,300 metric tonnes per year. This will raise the total capacity to 7,000t pa, calculated as a 50% solution. With this additional investment, BASF secures global microchip production and supports additional growth in the life science and metal treatment markets. By expanding its hydroxylamine operation, BASF will secure supplies of hydroxylamine and eliminate capacity constraints on existing and future growth in various applications.
