Bayer Technology Services and Siemens collaborate on manufacturing execution systems for process sector

Bayer Technology Services (BTS) and Siemens Automation and Drives Group have agreed to jointly market customer-specific automation solutions for process industry plants.


Bayer Technology Services (BTS) and Siemens Automation and Drives Group have agreed to jointly market customer-specific automation solutions for process industry plants.

The cooperation between the two German companies reflects growing demand in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry for manufacturing execution systems (MES), used to optimise production processes.

Under this agreement, the partners will jointly acquire and execute projects.

BTS will also further develop Simatic IT, the standard Siemens product, adapting the technology to meet specific customer requirements.
