Biocatalytics in joint marketing agreement with Novozymes

California, US-based BioCatalytics has announced a new cooperative marketing and distribution agreement with Denmark-based Novozymes, a global industrial enzyme company, to offer a broadened range of enzymes for chiral synthesis applications.


California, US-based BioCatalytics has announced a new cooperative marketing and distribution agreement with Denmark-based Novozymes, a global industrial enzyme company, to offer a broadened range of enzymes for chiral synthesis applications.

The new agreement includes both new enzymes never before available for chemical synthesis as well as well-known enzymes specially formulated for use in biocatalysis. The new enzymes and novel formulations will be offered exclusively by BioCatalytics for r&d, while Novozymes will handle the manufacturing of commercial quantities.

'This cooperative agreement combines the strengths of BioCatalytics and Novozymes with significant benefits for the industry. Customers will get improved access to some of the best enzymes in the world, backed by the technical support of BioCatalytics and the commercial manufacturing expertise from Novozymes,' said Dr Rozzell, of BioCatalytics.
