Manufacturer of industrial microbiology products, Biotrace International of Bridgend, UK, has purchased the remaining shares in Target Diagnostica for £3300,000 in cash.

The MicroSafe Group based in Italy, was acquired by Biotrace in September 2005 and held 39% of Target. MicroSafe has now acquired the remaining 61% of Target's shares.

Based in Milan, Target distributes microbiology products, principally to the pharmaceutical, food and environmental industries and has worked closely with MicroSafe for a number of years. Target had revenues of Euro 2m (£1.4m) in 2005 and a pre-tax profit of €0.2m (£100,000).
