BOC pump suits Zone O

The latest dry vacuum pump system from BOC Edwards is designed for use in Zone O areas. The Zone Zero package maintains maximum pumping speed, even in continuously flammable atmospheres.

It has been developed in line with European safety regulation ATEX, which will become mandatory from June 2003. BOC Edwards worked closely with independent test house ITS to develop and certify its Zone Zero package to guarantee complete safety without inhibiting pumping performance.

The package comprises a Drystar DPS pump, which has the company's patented claw mechanism. This is supplied with two flame arrestors at the inlet and exhaust and two temperature sensors.
