British Columbia, Canada proposes Laboratory Services Act
Will standardise laboratory systems in BC
Terry Lake, Health Minister in British Columbia (BC), Canada, has proposed a Laboratory Services Act, the first phase of the provincial government’s three-year plan to standardise the province’s medical laboratory services.
The act would give the provincial government greater control in coordinating clinical laboratory systems, (including auditing and billing), for the 125 laboratories in BC that currently provide medical laboratory services.
