Allison Coll, in her second year at Medway School of Pharmacy, recently attended the International Pharmaceutical Students' Federation (IPSF) annual congress in Cairns, Australia, as an official delegate.
Earlier this year Allison won the British Pharmaceutical Students' Association (BPSA) student of the year competition. Part of her prize was the all-expenses-paid trip to Australia, where she represented the UK at the two-week conference. Students took part in a series of talks and discus-sions about different types of pharmacy teaching and practice around the world.
'It was very inspiring to hear ideas from people from all cultures, and it has taken my passion for pharmacy to new heights,' Coll said.
Medway School of Pharmacy is a collaboration between the University of Greenwich and the University of Kent and is based at the institutions' shared campus at Chatham Maritime. The School, which first opened its doors to students in September 2004, is part of the £120m Universities at Medway initiative.
