Health4Health, a sporting event for people working in healthcare related disciplines such as pharma, hospitals or in the community, is asking individuals and teams to take part in the first event on 3-4 July.

The idea is to promote an understanding within the public that health professionals also care about the general wellbeing of the UK, by raising cash for medical charities.

The event will incorporate running, swimming (which can be combined as an aquathon), cycling (in the New Forest) and sailing (managed by the Royal Lymington Yacht Club), with entrants choosing one discipline.

Each day will culminate in a networking evening at the Royal Lymington Yacht Club, where the prize-giving and other events including talks given by health and sports celebrities will be held.

Health4Health is backed by eminent people across pharma, government and healthcare deliverers and is an opportunity for those of us who have benefited from working in this sector to give something back.

The organisers are looking for a substantial turnout and would appreciate early registration in the hope that they can meet their targets of encouraging people to get fit and raising money for the medical charities of their choice.
