Cellzome strengthen management team

Drug discovery company Cellzome Inc has strengthened it management team with appointments from UCB Celltech.

Oliver Rausch joins the company as senior director of biology alongside Andrew Ratcliffe, who has been named director of chemistry.

The appointments follow news of Cellzome's landmark agreement with GSK to develop novel therapies for inflammatory diseases using the company's kinase expertise.

Rausch has 10 years" experience in the pharmaceutical industry, five of which were with UCB Celltech and Ratcliffe has extensive drug discovery experience in inflammatory/respiratory diseases. He has been with UCB Celltech for nine years, six of which were as associate director of medicinal chemistry.
