Charkit signs agreement with Angelini Fine Chemicals
US company Charkit Chemical Corporation, of Darien, Connecticut, has signed an exclusive agreement with Rome-based Angelini Fine Chemicals, under which Charkit will be able to offer Angelini's custom synthesis capabilities, contract manufacturing services and intermediates to pharmaceutical companies in the US.
Angelini's technological base includes high temperature reactions, solvent-free reactions, phase-transfer catalysis, hydrogen peroxide chemistry, hydrazine chemistry and handling, reductions, chiral chemistry diazotisation, nitrosation, chlorination and halide exchange, silyation, acylation, amidation and esterification capabilities. It has manufacturing facilities in Ancona in Italy and Tarragona in Spain.
Angelini also has substantial resources associated with process development and chemical manufacturing, including industrial research and process development laboratories, multipurpose pilot plants and comprehensive analytical services and support. In addition to Angelini's custom synthesis and FDA-inspected contract manufacturing services, its active pharmaceutical intermediates and advanced intermediates will also be available from Charkit.
