Clear clean coding from scribing laser
The need for high quality coding on packaging was the driver for Domino's DSL1 scribing laser. The ability to mark on the fly on paper and card at speeds up to 3.5 metres/second is said to make the laser suitable for marking pharmaceutical packs.
The DSL1 is clean, low maintenance, requires no consumables, gives a permanent code on a wide range of materials and carries no risk of tainting from solvents. According to Colin Mills, laser marketing director at Domino, manufacturers no longer have to choose between speed or code quality.
