Colder Products' Steam-Thru Connections

Colder Products Company (CPC), a leading provider of controlled performance connections to biopharmaceutical, chemical, and medical markets, has launched the Steam-Thru Connection (STC), which streamlines critical steam-in-place processes and can be used in numerous biopharmaceutical applications.

The STC serves a dual function of valve and connection, eliminating the costly and labour-intensive steps of traditional steam sterilisation processes. It also speeds the connection process, and reduces the contamination risks associated with multi-connection steam-in-place applications.

The STC works with existing systems without retrofit, enabling a seamless transition to this highly efficient steam-in-place process. The device features industry standard terminations of 3/4" Mini and 1 ½" Tri-clamp, and its 3/8" and 1/2" hose barbs connect to popular tubing sizes.
