The Micronic tubes are manufactured from medical-grade virgin polypropylene in certified Class 7 clean rooms, ensuring they are RNase/DNase and endotoxin free. The Non-Coded tubes are available in 0.30ml, 0.50ml, 0.75ml, 1.10ml, 1.40ml, 4.00ml, and 6.00ml sizes, while the Alphanumeric Coded tubes come in 0.50ml, 0.75ml, 1.40ml, and 4.00ml sizes. Both tube ranges are compatible with Micronic’s extensive selection of TPE Push Caps (available in natural and 12 colours) and transparent EVA Push Caps, as well as Screw Caps specifically designed for ultra-low temperature storage down to vapour phase LN2 (-196°C). This versatility gives users the flexibility to choose the most suitable sealing solution for their application.
For secure sample organisation, the tubes are available in refill, the Micronic Comorack-96, Eco-Friendly Choice (EFC) racks and refill systems, or Ultra-Low Temperature (ULT) racks designed for cryogenic storage. Each rack is manufactured to precise industry tolerances and comes with a unique 1D barcode, ensuring accurate sample traceability and seamless compatibility with automated systems.

The Alphanumeric Coded tubes feature permanent, laser-etched codes for easy visual identification by tube position (A1–H12), while Non-Coded tubes offer a cost-effective solution for short-term storage, transportation, or processing steps, such as bead beating in agricultural applications. Both tube types have been rigorously tested under extreme conditions, demonstrating exceptional durability and ensuring maximum sample integrity.
Special design features, including inner V- and U-bottoms, maximise working volumes and sample recovery, while secure Push Cap and Screw Cap sealing prevent leakage or cap displacement during ultra-low temperature storage down to vapour phase LN2 (-196°C).
To support efficient sample handling, Micronic offers a range of compatible capping and decapping equipment. Manual Push Cap Decappers provide a cost-effective solution for quickly removing TPE and EVA push caps from 96- well format tubes (0.50–2.00 ml). For reliable sealing, the Push Cap Capper CP400 applies uniform pressure to all 96 tubes in a single action, while the CP600 and CP610 securely cap tubes up to 1.40 ml and 2.00 ml respectively with TPE or EVA capmats, capbands, and capclusters. For higher-throughput workflows, the CP620 enables simultaneous decapping of multiple tubes, minimising cross-contamination risks.
The Micronic Non-Coded and Alphanumeric Coded tubes are available in bulk, refill, or various rack formats. For more information, contact sales@micronic.com or call your local Micronic sales office: http://www.micronic.com/contact.
