Director of European contract sales joins Alliance Healthcare

Alliance Healthcare, the pharmaceutical wholesale division of Alliance Boots, has appointed Robert Crockart as its director of European contract sales.

Crockart, who has more than a decade of experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, will be responsible for the development and implementation of a pan-European strategy to provide sales support to pharmaceutical and healthcare manufacturers.

Crockart joins the company from Novartis Consumer Health, where he was country manager for Hungary, and previously he held responsibilities in sales development for Novartis's Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. He has acted as product marketing manager and sales representative at several pharmaceutical and healthcare companies in South Africa.

Crockart reports to John Kallend, director of manufacturer relations at Alliance Healthcare. Kallend believes his appointment will be invaluable to the development of Alliance Boot's sales support strategy.

"This appointment will contribute to further strengthening our services for manufacturers and ultimately, enable us to better serve the needs of independent pharmacists."
