Dow Corning, a global leader in silicon-based technology, and Rohm and Haas, a leader in acrylic and adhesives technologies, will simplify product and application development for customers by providing a single interface to their combined capabilities.
This alliance is said to be the first to combine such knowledge of acrylic and silicone technologies will create new opportunities for both companies in the healthcare industry. 'The competencies and synergies will allow each company to expand current product applications to new customers and develop new product applications to meet customer needs,' said John Lyon, Dow Corning's life sciences business director.
'The combination of Dow Corning and Rohm and Haas technologies and capabilities will simplify product and application development for customers,' added Suzanne Rowland, vp and global business director, adhesives and sealants, Rohm and Haas.
