E+H claim world first
Endress + Hauser is claiming a world first by providing IP68 compliance for the connection between a pH electrode and its transmitter. Moisture and dirt can no longer interfere with the accuracy and reliability of pH readings with the launch of TOP 68.
Several innovative design elements have contributed to the development of TOP. Its novel plug in system means that only two O-ring seals are required and the system is sealed at the moment the connector comes into contact with the O-ring.
The cable bushing's twin sealing lips optimise leak-proofing and provide strain relief. The high pressure resistance of the system — up to 25 bar — means that process leaks can be reliably contained, even if the electrode becomes detached.
The contact housing is made of PFA for long-term high impedance and TOP68 has a PPS plug connecting system equipped with a tongue and groove guide system.
