ESM synchronises flashers

Published: 3-Mar-2001

Bex beacons from European Safety Systems are KEMA and ATEX approved for use in Zone 1 and 2 environments, gas groups IIC, IIB and IIA. The range is believed to be the only synchronised family on the market, which means that all beacons on a circuit flash in unison when activated, to reinforce the visual signal.

Operation is from 12, 24 or 48V dc or 110 or 230V ac. The flash frequency is 1Hz, with output levels of 5, 10 or 15 J. There is a choice of six lens colours and the light output from the Xenon tubes remains better than 80%, even after 8 million operations. The units are sealed to IP67 and IP66.
