While volumetric flasks have for some years been supplied with batch codes, allowing traceability to a production batch, it has not been possible to identify individual flasks within a batch - until now.

Barloworld Scientific, a manufacturer of Pyrex and E-Mil products, can now supply flasks with unique serial numbers and date of manufacture, making flask identification and traceability possible.

In addition the user can, at a glance and without reference to paper certificates, know the exact age of a flask in the laboratory.

The serial number and date of manufacture are laser-etched into the base of the flask and can withstand harsh environments and repeated washing cycles. A batch certificate is also supplied with the usual production batch number and quality control data.
