The EZFlow 2050 disposable infusion pump from KD Scientific in the US electronically delivers continuous, constantly controlled infusions and meets CE 0197 certification.
The pump works by simply dialling to set the infusion rate in seconds, with flow rates ranging from 2-10ml/hr. There is a choice of a 100ml or 260ml sterilised reservoir box. The pump can be used many times, although the reservoir needs to be disposed of after each use.
The company says the KDS EZFlow 2050 is portable and offers an alternative to micro reliable infusions. It is supplied with a carrying belt.
The pump is powered by two AA batteries and runs for up to 400 hours at 1ml/hr. It weighs less than 200g.
KD Scientific designs, manufactures and sells fluidics equipment used by research laboratories worldwide. The company operates as a separate business within Harvard Bioscience at its Holliston, Massachusetts facility.
