Fielder's fluid bed dryer
The new Strea-1 laboratory-size fluid bed dryer from Aeromatic-Fielder has PLC control for simple operation, a data logging facility for easy process evaluation and now can be used with most organic solvents, making it ideal for all low volume product drying, top spray granulating and coating operations.
The bench-top machine can handle volumes from 200ml to 2 litres making it ideal for all research and pilot production operations for the manufacture of pharmaceuticals and chemicals.
Its PLC control makes the unit much easier to operate than previous manual models. The new design also brings the control panel and instrumentation to the front to make it easier to see and adjust. The introduction of an automatic data logging facility allows the operator to record process information as it happens for accurate and effective evaluation.
The Strea-1 can also be used with organic solvents enabling the user to manufacture a much wider range of products and perform much more complex operations, such as pellet coating and spray granulation, not previously possible on this scale of equipment. This allows companies to fully evaluate processes and product quality in the laboratory without the capital expense of full-scale production equipment.
The fluid bed unit is easy to manoeuvre, operate and clean. It features a special air distribution plate for controlled product movement, has a continuously operating blow-back filter, a monochrome touch-screen for simple programming and operation, and is supplied ready to plug into standard laboratory utilities.
The Strea-1 is available with DQ, IQ and OQ qualification documentation and a range of options allowing it to be customised.
