Filters for fluid flows

A range of robust three inch and six inch body 316L stainless steel filters, designed to remove suspended solids from fluid process flows with a minimum of disruption, are available from UK-based PCI-Memtech.

The versatile units comprise an interchangeable wedge-wire element, available from 10 to 3000µm, as standard. Seals, available in EPDM, Viton, PTFE or white silicone, allow operation between -25 – 150°C and at pressures up to 10 bar.

The filters can achieve excellent flow rates, with minimum pressure drop through the filter. They are said to be simple to install, easy to clean manually or by CIP processes, and can be backwashed to prevent product contamination.
