First InformexINDIA expects 150 exhibitors

Up to 150 exhibitors are expected to take part in the inaugural InformexINDIA 2009, which takes place in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, from 12-14 March. More than 500 visitors have registered in advance of the networking event.


Up to 150 exhibitors are expected to take part in the inaugural InformexINDIA 2009, which takes place in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, from 12–14 March. More than 500 visitors have registered in advance of the networking event.

Gujarat is the centre for pharmaceutical formula-tions and has more than 3,000 manufacturing licencees, according to Rita Teaotia, principal secretary of the government of Gujarat. ‘With this event we intend to draw the attention of the global pharma industry towards Gujarat,’ she said.

Organiser UBM India is aiming to hold the event every two years in March.
