Flomat bags a winner with FIBC folding device

Published: 20-Aug-2002

An ingenious, fully automatic device that is said to take the chore out of folding discharged flexible IBCs will be launched by Flomat Bagfilla International (FBI), of Glossop in the UK.

Also making its debut will be the Model A30 Bagfilla FIBC filling machine, which can fill lined and unlined FIBCs at rates of up to 30 bags/hour. It has a single FIBC support mast, giving all-round access, with easy one-man height adjustment to accommodate differing sizes of FIBCs. Rigging and removal of the FIBCs is from floor level, while a hygienic, open frame base facilitates the removal of filled bags by pallet truck or fork lift.

FBI has also developed a semi-automatic, inflatable filling seal arrangement to facilitate rigging. The unit is mounted on a load cell to provide filling weight data and can be removed for easy cleaning.
