ACHEMA 2003 is the focal point for new products from Manesty.

It will launch the Xpress 700 tablet press, which is the largest press the company have produced to date. The new Xpress range launched last year was heralded as Manesty's most significant development of the last 20 years. The Xpress family of tablet presses, with mpower integrated technology, sets out to re-establish Manesty at the forefront of tablet press technology. The new XPress 700 will be exhibited as a working model producing tablets. Along side will be a static Xpress 500 available for closer inspection and to demonstrate the easily removable turret and air cushion facilities.

The show also sees the launch of the plant XL lab02 tablet coating machine. This new coater accommodates drums with nominal capacities of 16, 35 and 75l. It has a comprehensive package of controls to replicate a multiplicity of full scale production conditions - with the facility to rapidly change between a wide range different coating drum types.

In addition to their exhibition stand, on Wednesday 21 May, Manesty will be hosting a seminar entitled 'Recent developments in pharmaceutical coating and tableting technologies' at which one of the key speakers will be Dr John Fell, a senior lecturer within the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Manchester, UK. The seminar is free: details of the programme and an application form for prospective delegates to download will be available from the Manesty web site.
