G&A Healthcare upgrades facilities
G&A Healthcare Packaging (G&A), a UK provider of printed flexible packaging to the pharma industry, has completed a £2.5m investment.
Over the past 18 months G&A, a subsidiary of the Austrian-based Teich Group, has upgraded its printing presses with the introduction of in-line inspection systems, flotation drying, registration enhancing independent drives and automatic viscosity controls. The company has also invested in a new slitting machine capable of handling large diameter reels for further in-house processing. Other improvements include upgrades to the plant's environment in terms of hygiene, air conditioning and filtration in the main manufacturing areas.
G&A originally gained a reputation for the production of specialist short-run print requirements but has now expanded its capabilities to handle the production of larger volume runs of up to five tonnes across a comprehensive range of products, including hard tempered foils, sachets, strip packs child-resistant and anticounterfeit structures.
