Gallay Systems chooses Dawson for roller conveyor order
UK company Gallay Systems, which builds wash equipment and systems for the pharmaceutical industry, recently chose Dawson to supply two Driven Roller conveyor systems with stainless steel rollers suitable for use in a pharmaceutical environment.
The conveyors are designed to interface with Gallay's wash system as part of two new cleaning lines running at up to 100mm/sec. The unit transports stainless steel vessels from a load station, through a wash facility and subsequently to an unload station. Accumulation space is provided for up to seven vessels per system and the four 90° transfer units, the design of which was modified to suit GMP requirements.
The conveyor not only had to incorporate special pharmaceutical-grade stainless steel rollers, it also had to be built to less than standard width to suit the product being handled.
One of the key factors that won the contract for Dawson was the ability to provide the high level of documentation required by the pharma sector.
