GPC products take centre stage at Polymer Laboratories

Polymer Laboratories, of the UK, will be focusing on latest developments in its GPC products. The company has added key features to its Cirrus software, including new modules for post analysis reviewing and reporting of chromatograms and calculated results through New Data Reviewer.

The company is also launching a polymer standards product for GPC/SEC. The EasiVial kit consists of three 4ml vials, each containing a mixture of four accurately pre-weighed polymer standards. Each kit contains 30 vials (10 of each type), which are colour-coded for easy identification, and characterisation data for each polymer standard.

Also making its debut is a sample dilution and injection system that can be interfaced with any GPC chromatograph. The PL XT-R is based on a robotic platform, integrating both sample preparation and autosampling.

Sample-filled vials are loaded in blocks in an X-Y array accommodating up to 96 vial positions. The robotic arm dispenses a defined volume of solvent into the vials, which are then subjected to controlled heating (up to 220°C) and magnetic stirring. After dissolution, the sample is delivered to the GPC via an on-board heated injection valve (with optional filtration) and compact heated transfer line.

Finally, Polymer Laboratories has launched a column for peptide and protein separations, PLRP-S 3µm, which extends the product portfolio into the proteomics application area.
