Grant-bio range in a spin

Further strengthening its presence in the life science sector, Grant Instruments has launched a line of equipment for rocking, shaking, mixing and spinning applications. Marketed under the Grant-bio brand name, 10 new products were recently unveiled. Designed to meet the challenge of workspace restrictions, Grant-bio products are compact, with a low profile and small footprint. The PV-1 vortex mixer, for example, will fit in the palm of the hand, without any compromise in performance!

Grant's new line of products offers reliability, durability and contemporary styling, coupled with innovative features; for instance, the novel multi-function programmable 3D and vertical rotators provide three different modes of operation: rotation, reciprocal rotation and vibration for effective mixing of both single and multiple liquid phases. And Grant's all-in-one centrifuge-vortexer boasts programmable sequencing of spin and mix phases for multiple microtubes.

The range is said to be particularly suitable for small sample volumes and is ideal for a variety of tasks in many areas of scientific exploration such as molecular biology and diagnostics. Grant offers options to accommodate various types of vessels from microtubes to 96 and 384 well microplates.
