High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) prep made easier to use

Varian's PrepStar 218 high performance liquid chromatography system has a high flow and pressure pump and enhanced control software, compared with its predecessors. The new 218 pump permits flow rates of up to 200ml/min at 4000psi. The pump can be controlled with the Star Workstation software for basic preparative HPLC applications, or with the new LC ReSponder process control software, which enables the use of the PrepStar 530 fluidics module for greater integrated fluid management control, such as sample injection and gradient formation.
