Honorary Fellowship for Trevor Jones

Prof Trevor Jones CBE, until recently director general of the ABPI and formerly r&d director at Wellcome, has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the British Pharmacological Society. Prof Jones is a member of the board of Allergan, chairman of the stem cell company ReNeuron and a senior r&d advisor to Esteve. He is also on the board of NextPharma.

Awarded honorary doctorates from five universities, he is a Fellow of Kings College, Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and Fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain. He has also been awarded an honorary Fellowship of the faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine of the The Royal College of Physicians.

A founder member of the Geneva-based, public:private partnership, Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV), in 2004 he was appointed to the World Health Organisation (WHO) Commission on Intellectual Property Rights and International Health (CIPIH).
