IQ systems offers flexible intelligence

The new IQ range of weight indicators could change the future of the process control industry, according to UK manufacturer Applied Weighing. The flagship of the range is the 920i, a fully programmable weighing controller that uses a unique analogue-to-digital conversion algorithm for faster and more accurate processing in batching, filling and multi-scale operations. It has a large LCD graphical display with selectable character sizes, real time bar graphs illustrating filling and batching processes and the ability to display and connect up to 28 separate weighing systems.

A customised database stores and analyses critical product information while 10 user-defined and 14 fixed functions provide access to frequently used functions. The 920i allows it to communicate with protocols such as DeviceNet, Profibus, and Remote I/O. The system is also easy to integrate into a new or existing industrial automation system.
