Isochem and Nycomed sign renewal contract for pantoprazole

French specialty chemical manufacturer Isochem and independent pharmaceutical manufacturer Nycomed\'s 18 year partnership for the supply of pantoprazole reached a new milestone with the signing on June 23, 2008, of a second renewal of the initial contract.


French specialty chemical manufacturer Isochem and independent pharmaceutical manufacturer Nycomed's 18 year partnership for the supply of pantoprazole reached a new milestone with the signing on June 23, 2008, of a second renewal of the initial contract.

Pantoprazole is the active ingredient of Nycomed's gastrointestinal drug, available in most countries under a number of brand names, including Protonix, Pantoloc, Inipomp or Zurcale.


Isochem is a subsidiary of Groupe SNPE and a specialist in complex synthesis processes. It covers organic synthesis reactions with particular expertise in reactions at very low temperatures, as well as nitration, phosgenation and hydrogenation.


This new multi-year contract illustrates Isochem's long-term ability to provide consistent competitiveness and comprehensive solutions to its customers all along the drug life cycle, said the company.
