Italian valves suit aseptic processes

The Sole Valve from Italian valve manufacturer Cora claims to offer high quality coupled with the latest design and technology available for a butterfly valve. The valve, which can be used for dust-free handling of products, is manufactured in 316 stainless steel, with silicon seals, and meets the latest FDA standards.

It is lightweight and compact, and can be fitted to pipes in positions that are inaccessible to standard sized butterfly valves. The mirror-polished surface ensures that complete sterilisation is achievable, making the valve suitable for a range of aseptic processes.

The product range also includes a rotary valve that regulates powder flows. Clamped between the discharge valve of a granulator bowl and the infeed of a mill, the valve allows continuous feeding of granules or powder without flooding or starving the processing equipment. The variable speed actuator oscillates the multiple pocket wafer, which feeds uniform amounts of material. The mounting flange and quick disconnect clamping unit permit thorough cleaning.
