Leiras offers innovative polymer

Finnish company Leiras, part of the Schering Group, is to make available DELVIVO, its proprietary polymer-based drug delivery technology, to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. The technology enables APIs to be released over a long period of time and at an even rate into the body.

Leiras's polymer-based drug delivery technology is used for hormone therapy and contraceptive products used by some 8m consumers in more than 80 countries. DELVIVO can be used to develop products both for short- term and long-term drug therapy requiring continuous, constant drug delivery.
