Loma Systems unveils latest X-ray technology

Published: 20-Aug-2002

Loma Systems, the global manufacturer of X-ray inspection, metal detection, checkweighing and management information systems, will be launching on the UK market its latest X-ray technology. On display in Rapid compact and PipeLine options, the new AXIS X3 is designed to detect minute contaminants and product defects and is capable of reaching speeds in excess of 90m/min - even on the widest systems.

Superior linear array produces crystal clear images, which are twice the resolution of those generated by existing systems, says the company, while different sensor options provide the right sensitivity match for specific product applications, ranging in size from 0.25-0.8mm.

The AXIS X3 AutoTrack software provides optimum contaminant detection along with the ability to identify product defects. Data from AXIS X3 can be incorporated into centralised plant control systems allowing production managers to have a complete overview of their production lines.

The OnLine data management system will also be displayed in conjunction with the AS 1200 checkweigher and the AS Combo combined metal detector and checkweigher. Loma OnLine enables production staff to download all data from Loma AS range checkweighers to a central computer and view current production data, percentage overfill, overfill costings and batch and shift performance data.
