Marchesini sells to Surepharm
Surepharm Services specialises in tablet production and can produce uncoated and coated tablets (sugar or film) in a variety of shapes and sizes. In order to expand its existing production capacity of more than 1bn tablets per year, Surepharm recently acquired, with the services of Equinox (Consultants), a Marchesini blister line incorporating an MB430, Robocombi and an MA255. The company is working successfully with The Marchesini Group, based in Bologna, Italy.
By investing in this latest equipment, Surepharm aims to add blister packaging along side its container filling capability thus providing a more comprehensive contract service to its customers.
The MB430 blister machine can run up to a speed of 300 blisters per minute. It maintains all the traditional advantages of a blister thermoformer but, it is equipped with a new brushless motor which enables a quick and easy change over.
The Robocombi is specifically designed to connect the MB430 to the MA255 and provides a positive transfer of blisters. The stacking parameters of the touch screen are sufficient to complete a successful setting operation which is different from a traditional blister magazine.
The MA255 can reach speeds of up to 150 cartons per minute. The cartoner has a new carton erection system consisting of a tilting arm combined with a mechanical pre-breaking feature, which allows the erected cartons to be placed directly into the cartons transport lugs chain.
