Measuring instrumentation from Ultrasonic

Published: 7-Apr-2003

Pioneers in ultrasonic technology, Ultrasonic Scientific is introducing its new products, including its award-winning ultrasonic spectrometer which is a technology that emerged from the Max Planck Institute and the academy of science of the former USSR

The company is also launching a totally new semi-solid instrument designed for measuring pastes, gels, fats, suspensions, emulsions and other semi-solids. The new instrument will offer ease of sample handling of semi-solid and solid materials, with a broader dynamic range for highly attenuating samples.

Another product launch is the new HR-US HTP High Throughput ultrasonic spectrometer. Developed in response to customer demand, the new HTP instrument greatly improves throughput and productivity for routine or higher volume applications. Sample preconditioning, loading, measurement, removal and cleaning are achieved efficiently with the new instrument. The high resolution ultrasonic/acoustic spectrometer has the capability for process development and monitoring in real time. One of the applications is concentration measurements, other related applications are ingredient and formulation consistency (composition, structure), process impurity analysis, batch to batch variation, etc. The technology can be used for static fingerprint measurements or for dynamic analysis of systems.

Also exhibiting for the first time is the HR-US 102 ultrasonic spectrometer. It offers the ultimate in high resolution ultrasonic analysis, with the ability to analyse non destructively transparent, translucent and opaque samples. Ideal for crystallisation, gelation aggregation, sedimentation, reaction kinetics, thermal stability, titrations, the HR-US 102 presents numerous advantages over its predecessor, offering an unprecedented range of tools for sample analysis suitable for those currently working with FTIR, UV-VIS, thermal analysis, rheology, particle analysis, NMR spectrometry and other material characterisation techniques.

Having recently appointed new European distributors in Benelux territories, Ultrasonic plans to appoint new German, Swiss and French distributors for its range of award-winning ultrasonic spectrometers during Achema 2003.
