Morich leaves Bayer 'by mutual agreement'

Dr Frank Morich, who was to have been the chairman of the board of management of the future Bayer HealthCare AG, has left the company by mutual agreement. His replacement is Rolf Classon, whose appointment takes effect immediately.

Classon was previously a member of the subgroup's executive committee, with responsibility for strategy and business development. He was also head of the diagnostics division of Bayer Healthcare, a role that will now be assumed with immediate effect by Professor Dr Wolfgang Hartwig, who has been preparing to take up his new post for the past few weeks in any case.
