Nautilus chosen by GSK for DNA sample tracking
GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has chosen Nautilus LIMS from Thermo LabSystems to handle global DNA sample tracking and genotyping in its laboratories in Harlow and Stevenage in the UK and North Carolina in the US. The software will support GSK scientists and bioinformaticians in managing more efficiently the vast amount of complex genetic data generated by its automated high-throughput technologies.
The first system is due to be fully operational in the area of sample management in February, and will enable GSK to track more easily the progress of research projects, including the management of individual genetic samples from introduction in the laboratory through to completion of the analyses and reporting of results.
